Design kitchens with a great view

Water views and grazing cows – yet only a few minutes’ drive from vibrant urban life. It sounds like a utopian dream. Yet this is exactly what Skudehavnen in Vejle offers residents in their architect-designed homes, which leave nothing to be desired in terms of location, volume or ultimate kitchen experiences.

In Skudehavnen, Vejle there is fresh air, views of the fjord and nature experiences for the whole family within walking distance. The homes, designed by Erik Arkitekter, are located on a corner block bounded by the river and the fjord, and will be beautifully set against the waves of Vejle Fjord, close to Vejle’s urban beating heart.

“The idea has been to exploit this unique location in Vejle to create a place where you live in the front row to the water, while also having grassy areas in front of your patio – a green meadow, grazing cows, and then the water,” says Jacob Wollenberg, Sales Manager for CASA.

“These fjord-side residences are for those who want to live in an optimised, low maintenance home, and who value living close to nature and to the town centre at the same time. So if you like Danish design, water sports, good walks and urban life, all at the same time, then Skudehavnen is where you should go.”

Exceptional homes demand exceptional kitchens

However, it is not just the Danish design expressed in the architecture that makes the fjord-side homes in Skudehavnen special. Each home boasts a uno form kitchen – a brand that has been revolutionising Danish kitchen design since the 60s.

“uno form is renowned for offering something out of the ordinary. And this applies to design, materials and service. We have consistently experienced this throughout our many years of partnership,” says Jacob Wollenberg. He also notes that the kitchen is a key focus when CASA commences new projects.

“The kitchen is the family’s gathering point. It has to be a place you really enjoy being in, and spending time every day of your life. When you combine this with our uncompromising approach to material choices and architecture, uno form was the obvious choice,” says Jacob Wollenberg. He notes that all homes have had the same kitchen installed, to create a consistent style and feel throughout the complex.

“All fjord-side homes have had the bright matt white dine-in kitchen from uno form with handle-free fronts installed, which results in a light and minimalist look that we are very satisfied with.”

The first 15 homes and kitchens are ready for occupancy and to be cooked in, and the next 9 will be ready in spring 2020.
